#5 Two Term Max

Plus play an exacta box w/#3 Over My Head

#5 Two Term Max is a good alternative to the potential bad favorite in this race who is coming off a long layoff. This horse on the other hand is in form and coming off back-to-back wins in his last two races at today’s 6F distance. Tired last time at 7F but certainly deserves another chance at a decent price today off the claim by Toscano, who is a good trainer first off the claim.

Play in exacta box w/#3 Over My Head, who is a live longshot, at least for the exactas, at 20-1 odds on the morning line. Got cooked in a speed duel at a longer trip last time, and didn’t handle a mile in the race before that, but if you go back to the recent races in shorter sprints at this level, you see a horse with competitive speed figures who fits very well at this level of competition if the field lacks standouts such as today’s field does.

Race 8

#7 Lamontagne

Needed the return race off a five-month layoff and even though he finished off the board, she will certainly benefit from that return race. This horse likes the Belmont turf course and is accustomed to running against tougher competition than this, so if she improves in this second race off the layoff, she will be tough to beat at a nice price.
