Plus play an exacta box w/#5 Risetotheoccasion

#2 Day of Fury ran a giant effort in a win in return from a layoff two races ago, followed by the requisite bounce last time out when raised in class to too tough a level last time out. Now drops back down to an appropriate class level and will be tough to beat vs. these based on his best effort. Owns good early and tactical speed, but doesn’t need an easy solo lead to win.

Play in exacta box w/#5 Risetotheoccasion, who ran second to Day of Fury in April but has a solid chance to turn the tables or at least round out the exacta again today because he’ll benefit from a good pace advantage in this race as the best of-the-pace option in a race overloaded with speed horses.

Race 8

#1 Rapt

The day’s best live longshot at 20-1 odds on the morning line. Had won two races in a row to finish last year and then needed a race last time in return from a six-month layoff when having a tough trip from post 11.  Cozy draw on the rail today, and ready to improve at a price in the second start off the bench.
