#1 Resilient One

Plus play an exacta box w/#8 Speak Up Sailor

#1 Resilient One moves to this course and distance last time out and dropped to this level and scored the victory, and now should be able to do it again versus a similar field. Versatile runner has speed but doesn’t need the lead to win and can also close. Earned a good speed figure for this trainer, and now picks up Jose Ortiz aboard.

Play in exacta box w/#8 Speak Up Sailor, who invaded from out of town last time and ran a nice race for third, beaten just a neck for the whole enchilada. Good speed figure and now drops to a lower claiming tag, and should at least hit the board against this field with a repeat of that last race.

Race 6

#6 Ten Penny Princess

Ran an improved effort in the first race off a six-month layoff last time out, and now should improve further in the second race off the layoff. Settled for a fast-closing third in that last race, but was beaten less than a length and could have won if not buried in traffic for the whole first half of the stretch run. Just needs a clean trip to post an upset at 12-1 odds on the morning line.
