#5 The Pooch lost in an off-the-turf stretchout attempt last time out, but will benefit from getting back onto the green based on the promising career debut two races ago with a solid second-place finish at this distance and at this level with a speed figure that stacks up well against these.
Play in exacta box w/#10 Light the Vow, who has been knocking on the door vs. maidens for some time, especially in the recent races since dropping in versus maiden claimers. Seems to prefer second, but he’s had excuses in some of those losses and it would be a mistake to prematurely give up on him, at least for second.
