#5 Astounding was good in turf debut last December and immediately sprang to life with a win last time out when returned to the grass for the first time since then. The third-place horse behind him last time had come back to win, and there seems to be no end in sight for trainer Jason Servis’s winning ways based on his 31% win percentage this season.

Play in exacta box w/#4 Shamcat, who has been knocking on the door at this level with two straight runner-up finishes in the last two races, and should once again be right there despite losing rider Irad Ortiz today to the top selection.

Race 4

#1 Super Stone

Barn sends out limited amount of first starters, but can win with these, and the tip-off today is the presence of Jose Ortiz aboard this debut horse for the low-profile trainer, not to mention that the pair has teamed up to win before. This is a rare maiden special spot that lacks horses from any of the killer win-early stables. The race is there to be won, and this horse has good drills and will be ready at first go.
