Stalker will get a perfect trip today to rally strong off of what will be a fast pace that will set-up her running style.

#3 Firenze Fire is the most accomplished horse in this year’s Hopeful as the only two-time winner in the race and already a stakes winner coming out of a victory here in the Sanford. Beat some of these last time and only figures to get better as the distance increases today to 7F.

Play in exacta box w/ #2 Oskar Blues, who only won the career debut last time by a nose, but is nevertheless a live and overlooked major contender in the race at 10-1 odds on the morning line. Capable of adding value and bumping up the exacta prices, this horse earned a good speed figure in the only race so far in a race in which he overcame a speed duel the whole way to gamely prevail. The only horse in this field who owns a win at today’s 7F distance.
