Improved nicely last time in the second career start, finishing second in a 13-horse field while clearly ahead of today’s top challenger, who was back in third-place that day. Beats today’s field with anything close to a similar effort.

Race 8

#6 The Crocheron Kid

Plus play an exacta box w/#9 Banana Thief

#6 The Crocheron Kid finished fourth but actually ran a very good race to lose by less than two lengths after breaking from the terrible turf sprint rail  post position. Finished only a nose out of third, but had the worst trip and was placed 3^rd via DQ. Just needs a clean trip today to post the upset at 15-1 morning line odds.

Play in exacta box w/ #9 Banana Thief, who has been against tougher allowance fields in the three recent races since returning from a long layoff. Now drops in against claimers and returns to Belmont, and the last time he turf sprinted here at Belmont he won. Has a chance to take advantage of the easier competition today, at least in the exactas.
