Finished second a couple times since getting claimed by David Jacobson, including last time up at a tougher class level. Met some runaway winners recently, but there appears to be no standouts facing him today. Drops back down to the bottom level, gets a big jockey switch to Irad Ortiz, and just needs to repeat the Beyer figures from either of the last two races to trounce these.

Plus play an exacta box w/#8 Backsideofthemoon

#3 Touchofstarquality has some giant recent efforts and should be ready for another one today coming off a brief rest, since this horse has repeatedly run well in the past when fresh. Give him a pass for the mud fiasco and a big chance today to rebound under fast conditions with Jose Ortiz, who has won board him, back for the mount today. Owns speed to lead, yet doesn’t need the lead to win, and loves Belmont with 4 wins and 7 career exacta finishes here in 10 lifetime outings.

Play in exacta box w/ #8 Backsideofthemoon, who is overlooked on the morning line (and likely the tote board too) at 15-1 odds, yet consistently runs big speed figures on the dirt in efforts that are good enough to make him a serious contender against this field. Not flashy, but happens to be as fast and a lot more consistent than the competition in this field.
