Picks up Castellano and goes first out for new barn with Brad Cox taking over the training. Cox has compiled a marvelous record all year long on the New York turf, and this horse is ready to post the upset in the opener with blinkers off and a big class drop down in for a claiming tag from the allowance ranks. Cox wins 59% with blinkers off, and this horse even had an excuse last time when wiped out in a rough trip.

Plus play an exacta box w/#4 Queen of Spades

#10 First Appeal draws a favorable outside post and gets back to 6F after recent tries going both longer and shorter in turf sprints for turf sprint queen Linda Rice. Been in the exacta in 6 of 10 career outings with 4 wins and Jose Ortiz stays for the mount. Won her only start at the distance so far, and is 2-for-3 lifetime here on the Belmont grass.

Play in exacta box w/ #4 Queen of Spades, who won at a big price last time right here at Belmont with apprentice Reyes aboard, and again gets in light with a 7-pound weight break. Don’t overlook again, because this horse can repeat based on the good speed figures and the in-the-exacta finishes in 3 of the last 4 outings.
