#6 The Crocheron Kid

Plus play an exacta box w/#2 Grand Sky

#6 The Crocheron Kid is knocking on the door in good recent efforts including a third against a solid field last time, yet still continues to lack respect and is against listed at 12-1 odds on the morning line. Owns good recent speed figures and looms the horse to beat with another good effort similar to last time.

Play in exacta box w/ #2 Grand Sky, who belongs in the exacta boxes as the likely favorite in this race. Can rebound from a sub-par effort last time out thanks in part to a class drop today back to a class level where he won at three races ago. Also won two races ago in a key race where both the second- and third-place finishers behind him both came back to win their next races. Top turf sprint barn of trainer Jason Servis wins these races at a 32% clip.

Race 9

#5 Havana Affair

Can get Nick Zito a rare turf win against what shapes up as an extremely weak field in today’s finale. Lost last time in a tough assignment from post 11, but this horse has speed and can get to the front from this better post. Also previously came in second at this level in a similar but better race at Saratoga in an effort that looks even better now since the horse that beat her came back to win again in her next race.
