#1 Reedini owns solid speed figures in comparison to this field and is well-suited to today additional distance at 7F. Got claimed last time out by high-percentage claiming trainer David Jacobson, who pulls his patented winning claim-and-drop maneuver for this horse with Joel Rosario aboard for the mount.

Play in exacta box w/ #8 The Great Samurai, who is only 1-for-19 in the win column but is the logical exacta box horse in this race with 7 career runner-up finishes.  In good current form since the claim by Toscano, especially when entered at today’s low class level, where he’s finishes second and third in recent tries. Those near missed were at a mile when he tired slightly late in those races. This distance of 7F puts him squarely in the exactas and makes him a threat to win.

#9 Hannah’s Smile

Owns consistently high speed figures relative to the rest of this field and exits a sharp win at 7F after losing with a fourth-place finish the time before in what turned out to be a key race, with the first- and second-place finishers both coming back to win their next races. The main competition in this race is stuck out on the also eligible list, and this horse looms the standout of this field.
