Play in exacta box w/ #1 Cerro, who battled for the lead and held on well for second last time in a game effort ahead of next-out winner Bolita Boyz. Got claimed and goes first out for trainer Diodoro (24% wins off the claim). Best recent speed figure puts him right in this thick of this field, and he’s listed at huge value odds of 8-1 on the morning line.

Rolled to a wire-to-wire win at first asking when last seen in a sprint and is the horse to beat in this spot in the first try since then back at 6F. Tried to stretch out to one mile last time for the $250K Sleepy Hollow Stakes, but got cooked in a speed duel when stuck down inside on a dead rail. Big chance to rebound back at preferred distance.
