#1 Collective Effort

Plus play an exacta box w/#3 The Presidency

#1 Collective Effort has been in the money in all 6 starts to date, including a pair of stakes races and in the turf debut last time out. Still searching for the maiden win, but seems to have found the correct spot in today’s race. The only question is the stretchout to one mile, but this horse draws the rail and has the right running style to indicate the stretchout should do the trick today.

Play in exacta box w/ #3 The Presidency, who makes his second start for good second-out trainer Jimmy Jerkens. Fairly live on the tote board last time in the career debut, and didn’t run bad to be mid-pack in what was a sprint prep career debut. Now stretches out, adds Castellano, and means business today.

Race 9

#3 Harlan’s Hunch

Rushed up to press an impossible pace last time and emptied out as a result of those early efforts in a race that set-up perfectly for the closers. This horse can turn the tables on all who beat him last time in today’s race with a more patient ride. Switches to Irad Ortiz, and had been knocking on the door at this level prior to last race and is ready to rebound and graduate.
