#7 Farcical Feline

Drew post 11 and yet won right off the bat last time out here at two turns on the turf at Gulfstream Park off a seven-month layoff. Speed figure was not as high as some of these have been running, but that will improve today in this second start off the lengthy layoff. Good pace-pressing/stalking running style will have her well-placed in the race throughout.

#6 Pekin

Plus play exacta box w/ #10 Uncle Yolanda

#6 Pekin flopped in a turf stretchout attempt last time out, but if you throw that race out you have a horse who in the race before last ran by far the best dirt sprint any horse in this field has run when he finished second here at this distance and class level with a Beyer speed figure of 50 that towers over the rest of the competition. Has speed and will be tough to catch wire-to-wire.

Play in exacta box with #10 Uncle Yolanda, who also did not handle a stretchout in his most recent race, but also cuts back in distance to a sprint today and should be good at this bottom level against this questionable field. Had problems coming out of the gate in both career sprint outings so far, and he’ll be very dangerous if he gets out of the gate cleanly. Offers tremendous value either way at 15-1 odds on the morning line.
