#4 Tiznoble is rising in class off the claim yet is still the horse to beat here based on the big 8 ½-length victory last time out here at Aqueduct with a fast speed figure at this distance. Deserving favorite and tough to beat today with a repeat effort.

Play in exacta box with #5 Praetereo, who offers good value to the exacta boxes in this race at 12-1 odds as the clear longshot in this five-horse race. Didn’t handle 1 ¼-miles in the mud last time out, but had run a promising third-place finish two races ago here at this distance on a fast track. Veteran could spring a shocker based on his best effort, at least for the exactas.

#3 Open Bar

In form now, which is more than some of today’s rivals can say, and he owns the best last-race dirt Beyer speed figure of any horse in this field. Exits a third-place finish at this class level. There is absolutely no speed at all entered in this race, and this horse at least has some mild degree of tactical speed which should put him up near a slow pace with first run on the overmatched leader.
