Attempted to follow-up a win two races ago with another victory last time, but got bottled up in traffic in the stretch and lost his best chance. Remains in good form now and is being overlooked on the morning line at 9-2 odds for low-profile connections. Irad Ortiz stays for the mount, and can get revenge for the loss last time with a clean trip.

Plus play exacta box w/ #8 Whitmore
#3 Imperial Hint tired last time on the swampy Derby Day track at Churchill Downs, but this horse nevertheless remains perhaps the best sprinter in the country and will hope to be able to strut his stuff this time on a fast track. Reeled off four straight stakes wins last season en route to a second-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint. Started out his 2018 campaign with a win at Tampa, and will be tough to beat in this spot.
Play in exacta box with #8 Whitmore, who is a multiple Graded Stakes-winning sprinter who has been good in three starts so far this year, especially on fast tracks. Will be the main contender if he is able to run back to his best efforts.
