#2 Over Rider should absolutely relish the return to a
one-turn mile race here at Belmont at 8-1 morning line odds. Went too short and
too long in the two races at Saratoga, and the only other recent race was a
turf race, but if you go back to this horse’s one-turn mile form in the past
performances, you will find a horse that stacks up favorably against the rest
of this field.

in exacta box with #1 Playwright,
who was at the wrong distance at Saratoga in longer route races, but looks much
better here at Belmont in this one-turn mile. Always seems to run second, so he
might be a bad bet to win at even-money odds on the morning line, but you
definitely want to include him in your exacta boxes.
Race 4
#12 Chantry Flats
Needed a
race last time out off of an eight-month layoff, but nevertheless ran a solid
return until fading late in a race against many of these same rivals. Now
returns ready to improve in the second race off the layoff and looms the
controlling speed in the race with Johnny Velazquez picking up the mount.
