#2 Mihos finished third in an ultra-key race last time in
career debut when both the winner and the second-place horses both came back to
win their next races. Trainer James Jerkens does better with his maiden
second-time starters, so expect this one to be tough to beat today, especially
because he already has the top speed figure in this field. Adds first-time
Lasix.
Play in exacta box with #6 U R Not So Bad, who has been
knocking on the door vs. maidens in two of his three starts so far, including
an improved second-place finish last time here at Aqueduct. Continued expected
improvement puts him in the exacta boxes again today.

#2 Lady Montdore
In the Grade 3 Long Island,
Lady Montdore appears to be the controlling speed, depending on what #11 Night
of England does from the far outside. Nevertheless, this horse is the horse to
beat with the speed to lead from this cozy inside post position with the short run
to the first turn. Beat the likes of Santa Monica and Danceland in the G2 Glens
Falls at Saratoga and then was unfortunate to run into the Chad Brown monster
Fourstar Crook last time out in the G1 Flower Bowl. The Chad Brown horses entered today are not
his first- or second-stringers, so this horse once again has a chance to shine
for trainer Tim Albertrani.
