#1a Shrill Locket was knocking on the door in two races at
Remington, including last time out when third in a maiden special weight race
behind a repeat next-out winner. Class drop here and the speed figures are
better than the other horses in this race who’ve recently raced. She’ll have
the best chance to stalk and catch the favored speed horse.
Play in exacta box with #3 Torri’s On My Mind, who returns
from a long layoff with a big class drop for trainer Wayne Catalano, who spots
this horse in a race where she can graduate right off the bat… if she’s ready.
Speed figures are not recent, but they’re better than today’s competition. Most
of all, this horse has speed and there isn’t much early speed entered in this
field, so she’ll have a chance to get out in front and go wire-to-wire.

Raced in southern California
but really took off in the recent stretch of races down at Delta Downs, where
she won three out of four and just missed by a neck in the fourth one for high percentage
trainer Broberg. The one mile and 7F races at Delta are two turns, so this
horse will have no problem with today’s distance here at Oaklawn. Has high
speed figures and comes into this race in career best form.
