Honors just missed in Keeneland sprint career debut for trop trainer Chad Brown
and earned a fast speed figure on a muddy track. Will be tough to beat if the
wet track speed figure from last time holds up, and if he handles the
stretchout to a route.
Play in
exacta box with #2 Meet Me in L A, who realistically could post the upset here
and at least needs to be used in exacta boxes for trainer Jimmy Jerkens, who
excels with maiden second-time starters. Didn’t do much in 7F career debut last
time out, but Jerkens wins with 37% of his stretchout horses from sprints to
routes. Big improvement is on the way.
Race 6
#8 Zinger
Lost to some of these last time out in an irrelevant
off-the-turf race, but is waiting to turn the tables on the ones that beat him
last time with this switch back to the grass. Jose Ortiz picks up the mount,
and this horse will be big trouble if able to repeat his efforts from either of
his two most recent grass races which were both against better fields down at
the Fair Grounds last winter.
