Gisel leads off a “sweet” exacta box for D. Wayne Lukas after knocking on the
door with second-place finishes in the last two outings since dropping in
against maiden claimers. This race should prove to be the softest spot she’s
landed in so far.

box with #10 Sweet Addison, who exits a third-place finish in a key race at the
maiden special weight level, losing by 11 lengths in an effort that looks much
better now that the first two finishers in that race both came back to win
their next races. Drops back in against maiden claimers and has speed figures
that stack up nicely against the rest of this field.

#5 Alfons Walde
Stalked the pace and held on well
for second last time in a 10-horse field at 1 1/8 miles. Tired late in the
race, but today’s one-mile distance should be just perfect. Should beat this group with
anything close to a repeat of that last effort.
