turf sprint against open company at Santa Anita. Also a stakes winner at SA in
January in a turf sprint, and this field is solid but shouldn’t be able to beat
him based on a repeat of anything close to the speed figure he got in the last
race.
Play in
exacta box with #6 Call Paul, who is a five-time winner who is the most accomplished
horse in this race with victories including the Grade 3 Swale, the Grade 2
Saratoga Special, and a pair of Pennsylvania-bred stakes. The big question he
needs to answer today is whether or not he can handle the grass in the turf
sprint career debut. Definitely the horse to beat if this race comes off the
turf. Needs to be in the exacta boxes either way.

for the first time in the third career start and blinkers come off after she
tired when setting the pace in a longer race last time. Back at 1 1/16 miles today after the promising career
debut two races ago at Gulfstream at this distance with a speed figure that
stacks up as very tough vs. these.
