is knocking on the door with two straight second-place finishes, including two
races ago at Belmont when he pressed a solid 6 1/2F pace and held on by far the
best of the speeds for a clear second behind a closing favorite aptly-named
Flying Finish, and last time out here at Saratoga by a neck with an even better
speed figure. Ready to get over the hump.
Play in
exacta box with #6 Saratoga Pal, who will add value to the exacta boxes in this
race at 12-1 odds on the morning line after a toss-out turf loss last time out.
Two races ago when last entered on the main track, he lost his footing at the
start and had to play the chasing game, but it was a moderately-paced race and he
could only gain for fourth when beaten only a length. Showed promise in dirt
maiden races, and can surprise today, at least for second.

Lost ground
four wide on the first turn but then ran well off a seven-month layoff to hold
on for second, and then came back and just missed by a neck last time in an
even tougher spot right here at Saratoga. Lands in a winnable race today, and
when jockey Luis Saez teams up with trainer Bond, the combo wins at a 37% clip.
