#6 Sweet Bye and Bye
Returned
from a seven-month layoff last time out with a turf sprint prep race, and
actually ran her eyeballs out to rally for third in that spot, which was
technically wrong for her. Now stretches out to a preferred distance with that
prep under her belt, and is ready to improve further. Switched to a new barn
prior to that last race, and seems to have responded positively to the new
trainer.

#8 Let Them
Eat Cake closed from near the back of the pack to finish a solid second here
last time out in a similar spot, which was actually a good effort from the bad
inside post position at 5 1/2F on the Saratoga turf. Now switching from inside
to outside and should be able to beat this bunch with Rosario returning for the
mount for trainer Ian Wilkes, who has quietly had a very good meet.
Play in
exacta box with #10 American Goddess, who goes out for turf sprint specialist
trainer Wesley Ward with some good and consistent recent form in longer races.
Should benefit from this cutback to 5 1/2F. Didn’t have the early speed
necessary to win Gulfstream’s short turf sprints, but his running style will
play better here at Saratoga. Good outside post.
