now that the third-place horse in that race has already come back to win her
next start. Speed figures stack up well against this field, in good form, and
owns good speed but has a tactical advantage because she doesn’t need a clear
lead in order to win.

this level in a two-turn turf race which points her out as the one to beat
against this lackluster field. Goes out for trainer Saffie Joseph, who has an
eye on challenging Pletcher for the training title this season. Gets Irad Ortiz
aborad, which is a big deal because the jockey-trainer combo along with Joseph
has clicked for 18 wins from 37 starters for 49% wins here at Gulfstream since
last year.
Play in
exacta box with #3 Union Park Girl, who drops to her lowest maiden level so far
in her fourth career start and fits well down in this bottom level maiden
claiming spot against an unspectacular field. Pressed the pace before tiring
late last time out at 1 1/16 miles, and actually was competitive in the outing
before last when finishing third, and now stands to benefit from this shorter 7
1/2F distance on the grass. Trainer Brisset has quietly has a sneaky-good meet,
with 3 winners and a total of 8 exacta finishers with his first 12 starters
(66% in the exacta).
