If you take out
the ill-advised stretchout attempt to two-turns in the Grade 1 Ashland last
time, you have a nearly unbeatable sprinter here in Happy Soul, who had been on
a three-race winning streak in sprints including back-to-back stakes wins at
Belmont and Oaklawn. Cuts back in distance into her wheelhouse at 6F and Johnny
Velazquez is back aboard so toss out the loss last time and it’s all systems
go. Must beat favored Under the Stars, but the 6F distance of this race gives
the advantage to Happy Soul.

#10 Adare Manor was a
breakout 3yo filly in Southern California for Baffert earlier this year
including a tour de force blowout win by 13 lengths in the Las Vergenes (G3)
exits a second-place finish by a neck in the Santa Anita Oaks (G2). Now goes to
her third trainer in three starts but keeps John Velazquez in the saddle and
the workouts indicate she has never been better. Will be tough to beat.

Interstatedaydream, who comes out of a loss last time out in the Grade 1
Ashland at Keeneland where she missed second by just a nose behind a runaway
winner. No shame in that defeat, especially when we saw what she can do two
races ago in her big win at Oaklawn with a strong speed figure on a fast track.
Speedy filly from top connections will be tough to catch.
