Horses To Watch

By: American Turf Club

PHILADELPHIA PARK

BUSY BOB: Finished mid-pack but was hurt by a slow start in well-bet career debut on

8/3. Don’t ignore.

LETHAL LOVER: Broke slowly and then got carried out wide on the turn and lost ground when

trying to get back into the thick of the race. Can make amends.

MEADOW SNOWBIRD: Got hooked in a two-length-gap duel for the lead and held on for a close

third-place finish. Can shake loose in next.

PRINCESS TIFFANY: Got caught in a three-way speed duel and just missed another win on 8/5. Extremely

sharp form at present.

RICKS RASCAL: Pressed the pace in return from a layoff before getting blown away by a perfect trip 8-5 shot.

Missed the place by just a neck and can win in second race off the layoff.

ROBYN’S DIAMOND: Finished sixth, but finished just 4 1/2-lengths out of it in good return effort off a layoff.

Should benefit from the return race.

SMOKING QUALITY: Showed good speed in debut but couldn’t survive a speed duel. Won’t be a maiden

for long.

TIO TITI: Finished off the board in a difficult turf route assignment when needing a race on 8/3. Ready for an

improved effort.

TRI’S MOMENT: Got KO’d in a three-way battle for the lead and lost as the favorite on 8/5. Deserves another chance.

WOW MAN: Got cooked in a duel for the lead in return from a year layoff. Better chance in second race off the bench.

4STARSPECIAL: HALO’S HONOUR: Set a pressured pace and held on well for third after all of the pace-pressers

in the race tired badly. Worth another shot.

LONGSHOT: RONNET: Stumbled at the start and then rushed up to set the pace before tiring as a result of

the early efforts. Can surprise as a big overlay.

LAUREL

CROSSING POINT: One time lowly claimer has really proved that he is not letting up. Scored over a solid field of

sprinters should be followed wherever he winds up.

FACE IT: Put in a good run while chasing the pace and is a must use right back with maiden claimers ($16k).

HARROGATE HILLS: Blew a lead late in the stretch and finished second against NW2L claimers. Key this one on top

next out.

OH MY LORDIE: Showed no speed early but made a huge run to get the lead at the top of the stretch only to get run

down by a horse that was behind her. Gets through NW2L level next out.

PENTAKTO: Worked hard while dueling between horses and then gave way grudgingly in the drive. Should offer value with

$5k claimers.

READY FOR LOVE: Was not able to complete his task after leading through fast fractions before tiring to third.

SHE’S THE TICKET: Could not last on the lead last out after opening up three lengths in the stretch. $7.5k claimer held third

but is dangerous to go all the way next out.

SNOZ: Blasted to the lead and held his advantage throughout. Was claimed from that race and is a good candidate for repeat.

SOAKED: Closed very well for third but was still beaten by five lengths; needs to get rolling earlier.

THIEVING: Ran well getting the job done over a field of $25k claimers as the favorite. Look for the same result next out

even with a bump in class.

WRY HUMOR: Broke well and then rushed up while dueling for the lead. 2YO tired in the drive but must be respected especially

with a drop in class.

4STARSPECIAL: PLEASANT HONOR: Stalked the pace and then took over for an easy score. This 2YO continues

to improve and has a shot versus winners’ next out.

LONGSHOT: HICKEY LANE: Was up close early on but never made an impact tiring to sixth. Look for improvement

next out at a huge mutuel off his tightner.
