HORSES TO WATCH
By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB
BELMONT
CAMP ON WOOD: May have been too far back and then raced wide down the backside en route to an even fourth place finish in a race that went in a quick time, give her another shot with a little more distance.
CENTENNIAL CAT: Probably needed the race off the layoff last out in an off the turf for top barn, follow right back on the turf.
CHILDREN’S ANNEX: Took some money for his career debut over a sloppy track, didn’t get off to a good start and it cost him as he tired to finish sixth, tab right back.
CHILI CAT: Closed to finish second last out in a five horse field and maybe a switch to the turf will help her cause.
CROESUS: Did put in a good run to finish third at 26-1 last out against maidens over the turf, price play next out with similar.
DIXIE BAGHDAD: Ran on very well for second last out at 44-1 when sprinting with maidens on the turf, follow right back in a similar spot.
KARAKORUM THUNDER: Was outrun most recently over a sealed sloppy track and got on track late, follow right back with statebred allowance foes.
LADY JOVE: Put in a huge effort to score over statebred maiden claimers last out, scoring by more than 11 lengths, can repeat with winners.
NAP: Needed the race off the layoff and probably wanted to race on the turf not a sloppy track, respect her right back with maidens on the turf.
PATH OF PERFECTION: Didn’t get the best of rides last out as the jockey was a little apprehensive before riding this horse over a slick course, follow back at a price for the Keith O’Brien barn.
PREACHER’S TALE: Is at the right maiden claiming level and just missed last out by a neck, should graduate with a similar effort.
PRETTY SARAH: Showed much improved speed last out, challenged the front running favorite and held very well for second, solid right back with statebreds.
4STARSPECIAL: SYMMETRON: Put in a big effort last out taking pressure the whole way before just giving it up very late for a close-up second.
LONGSHOT: MISS ANNIE M: Was up against it chasing a loose on the lead favorite over a sealed track that favored speed, try right back at a price with maidens.
DELAWARE
BIZZY TRICK: Stalked the pace throughout and failed to get by winner when second, beaten a nose, as odds-on favorite in local debut; fresh face a force going forward.
BRASSY KARAKORUM: Went evenly for fifth in latest and can be a bit erratic but seems a logical fit at a price in your exotic wagers.
HAAJES: Went willingly to wire for second after dealing with some traffic woes most recently; primed for breakout in third start of current form cycle.
INDEPENDENT GEORGE: Has shown flashes of being a nice one on turf for top Motion barn; handles preliminary allowance types in very near future.
JOLIE’S THUNDER: Rated and rallied mildly when third in latest, and was claimed by trainer Gaudet; 8YO veteran with excellent overall resume is hard to leave out of gimmicks.
PELE MAGIC: Blasted clear early and just failed to stay on when second, beaten a neck, most recently; breaks out in upcoming third start of current form cycle.
4STARSPECIAL: TEXAS BREEZE: Set pace, turned back challenge, and drove clear to post maiden score most recently; follow up class rung for powerhouse Pletcher barn.
LONGSHOT: CRUSADING TIME: Bit off more than she can chew when she set pace and faded in off-the-turf stakes most recently; follow for Allen barn.
