HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

PENN NATIONAL

DUCHWAY: Has been showing improvement in her turf races and her most recent third place finish after making the lead at the top of the stretch despite racing wide was very good, tab.

TEE CAT: Just missed by a head last out while more than five lengths clear of the show horse in a quickly run race, stay close.

CLASS OF WHEATON: Broke from the rail most recently but was forced wide at the top of the lane to finish third, should be right there with NW4L $4k claimers.

MADDY BELL: Was quickly clear from the gate last out and lasted until the top of the stretch before tiring to finish fourth, can surprise on the lead with NW2L $4k claimers.

CHEMOLD: 5yo gelding from the Scott Lake barn blasted from the gate from post 9, made the pace and then tired to finish fourth; gate to wire.

CAREFREE: 9yo gelding has earned over $200,000 in his career but he has been at the basement level for a while but his second while showing early foot points him out for next time.

BEST BET: COUNT XANADU: Took money for his last start, showed good speed, took on a few challengers but held well for the place spot, scores at the basement level right back.

LONGSHOT: EARSAY: Has run only three times on the turf and has never hit the board but is getting better with each start, the price will be right.

WOODBINE

WATZ HIS NAME: Closed some ground late in his career debut to finish fourth in a five furlong sprint, this 2yo gelding will love a stretchout in distance, follow right back.

BRIGHT STORM: Took nine chances to break his maiden but did follow it up with an even fifth followed by a solid second, stay close with NW2L claimers.

CELEBRATE: Has shown speed in all three starts so far and her most recent start on the turf she hung on well for fourth despite battling for the lead from the start, she is getting closer.

ROVING ANGEL: Showed good speed in the Grade 3 Seagram and held well for fourth, a drop back into money allowances does the trick.

ORACLE OF OMAHA: Has run two races here since shipping up from New York and is ready to break through with allowance foes.

MOONLITE WALK: Is starting to slowly round to form and most recent second points her out as the one to beat right back, tab with $16k claimers.

BEST BET: CREASE INFRACTION: Broke in the air last out going five furlongs but it didn’t matter as he went on for the score to with $37.5k claimers, has been having a good year with one win, two seconds and a third in four starts, ready for a good one again with similar.

LONGSHOT: AMYDEED: Three year old gelding showed much improved speed last out when finishing third at 17-1, follow closely with NW2L allowance foes.
