HORSES TO WATCH
By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB
WOODBINE
FIRENZA: Made the switch to the turf last out when finishing a good fourth and should get there with further improvement.
HIGH GRADE SILVER: May have been too far back last out and just as he was making his move he was blocked en route to a fourth place finish, tab with NW2L claimers.
INTRINSIC WORTH: Made a solid move to finish third over a track that was favoring speed and that was only his second start since April, should be much tighter in his third start back off the layoff.
JAKES OUR TRUMP: The layoff did him well and the blinkers back on also helped his cause as he took the lead into the stretch before checking in third at 66-1.
NEWBURY: Made a middle move last out to get into second but couldn’t get by the leader and faded to finish third, respect.
ONE QUIET CAT: Finished an even fourth last out in a race where speed was solid and that was only her second start so far this year; give her another shot if she returns quickly.
4STARSPECIAL: BADGE OF TRUTH: Ran his turf record to three seconds from three starts over that surface, should be finally ready to break through next out.
LONGSHOT: TEXAS: Speedy four year old is still at the NW2L claiming level but his speed makes him dangerous every time out, be there.
DELAWARE
DEED TO THE GATE: Chased throughout and stayed on for second in game bid when making her first start off claim by trainer Nunley; next time.
HILL BRAE: Made appropriate return to claiming ranks most recently, and responded with an improved third-place bid; takes measure of NW3L foes before long.
MAGIC BELLE: Rated, rallied, and drew off to lengthy score as odds-on choice most recently; worth following right back off claim by trainer Beattie.
PREFERRED LENDER: Loomed a major threat but settled for even stretch bid en route to third-place finish over a speed-kind track most recently; next time.
ROBYNS ANTHEM: Settled for third when allowance spot may have been a bit too much for her most recently; NW2L race suits best.
SEASON TICKET: Loves a good early fight and was up against it in latest when trying to gain ground from off the pace over a sloppy and sealed strip; another shot.
4STARSPECIAL: BAY EAGLE: Chased throughout and stayed on for a close third in his latest; proven veteran had two-race win streak snapped, so watch him start another.
LONGSHOT: ROARING LION: Went well to offer mild rally for third while green in his racing debut; expect improvement for noted patient barn (Small).
