HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

THISTLEDOWN

EYES A JAZZ DANCER: Battled early after being rushed and then faded from contention; juvenile filly is learning on the job and can show best in third start.

MINDSWEEPER: Finished well for third when cut back to sprint following series of strong route efforts; hard to leave off your tickets in current form.

RAVENS CRY: Chased and weakened in latest, but seems to have shown improvement over recent starts; drop to MCL ranks does the trick.

SONNY’S TROUBLE: Rallied from just off the pace to score as the favorite in his latest; right back for winning Radosevich barn.

STAGE DOOR PENNY: Has improved with racing experience and gave her best effort yet in easily leading throughout latest overdue maiden win; stays sharp.

VACATION FUN: Loves to win and made it three straight victories in game effort most recently; now is not the time to jump ship.

4STARSPECIAL: FROLIC OVER: Rallied for second most recently and seems to be improving with experiences gained versus winners; breaks out now.

LONGSHOT: GOLDEN STARLIGHT: Showed improvement when third on stretch out in distance most recently; primed for big effort in upcoming third start of current form cycle.

LAUREL

C’S VICTORY: Went in fairly even fashion when fourth in his first start since July and the effort can move him up; follow off claim by trainer Moschonas.

COIN D’OR: Rallied from wide spot to pick up third most recently; underachieving filly with strong bloodlines set for third start of current form cycle.

DUBAI CAT: Raced from too far back and too wide and rallied for fourth in his latest; late runner needs better pace and racing luck to pick up victory.

JOEL’S TOUCH: Went very well for fourth when beaten only 1 ¼ lengths when burdened by post position 14 in turf sprint most recently; next time for top prize.

NANA’S HOPE: Rallied from well back and inside when able to pick up third most recently; offers value in your exotics.

SINISTER G: Showed the way early and finished third as the beaten favorite in latest stakes bid; winning Lake barn finds right spot for winner’s circle return.

TRISTAR ARTS: Has shown only brief early speed in each of his last two, but can put his lick to better use versus softer competition; from winning Salzman barn.

TUSCANY WINE: Chased and weakened most recently, but can do better going forward given his first race of experience versus winners; gelding is also best suited to turf.

VALID QUEST: Showed the way early and settled for second best behind blowout winner most recently; juvenile filly benefits from first spin versus winners.

VALLEY PARKING: Rallied from well back and wide to pick up second behind clear winner when making her first start since July 2005; excellent veteran mare.

4STARSPECIAL: WOW ME FREE: Wowed in her career debut when able to easily negotiate one-mile trip and rally from well back to dominate; climbs class ladder in a hurry.

LONGSHOT: STETTER JR: Seems a bit off form of late, but talented speedster has been caught in pace duels in each of his last two; loves to win and can shake clear in right group.
