Horses to watch

By: atc

CALDER

CRAZED: Put in strong run to get up for third just missing the place spot. Six furlongs

may be a better distance, tab.

CRYPTOSUMMER: Made a decent run into the stretch but could not finish it off. Should

improve off that race and can score with $12.5k maiden claimers.

EVA’S PROSPECTOR: Laid down a 21:3 opening quarter over the wet track and then tired

to finish last of six. Try back over a dry surface.

HONEY HUNT: Laid down some very fast fractions and it cost him late as he tired to second.

Gets the job done next out.

IKNOWTHEPROGRAM: Had a weird trip in his debut, chasing the pace early, dropping back,

wide on the turn and then came with a strong run to score. DOVE HUNT colt can repeat if properly

placed and turf is also an option.

REALLY ROYAL: Looked home free after taking over the lead into the stretch but got nailed late

on the wire. Next time.

SHE’S SO WITTY: Was used up chasing a fast pace of the loose on the lead runaway

winner. Tab right back.

STRIKE THREE: Finished a game second after being claimed back by his trainer. Fits with

$35k claimers.

WEEZ JAMMIN: Showed good early speed, was passed and then showed his gameness to

come back for the nose victory. Fits with $16k claimers.

4STARSPECIAL: BEDFORD BOY: The jock had him in no man’s land and he still came flying to

just miss by a little over a length. Scores next out and can start to string a few together.

LONGSHOT: PLEASANT PICK: Ran an even fifth last time even after having to steady down

the backside, follow.

ARLINGTON

CROWD WATCHER: Was game on the lead gutting out a nose victory over a starter

allowance field. Holds some backclass so follow closely.

ESTHERS BALL: Closed from well back to finish second but could not get by the 3-5 favorite

losing by a neck. 2YO should be tough next out.

LAW REVIEW: Got away with an easy first quarter mile and then the fractions got quicker

and he held well for fourth. Try again with $35k claimers.

MATTHEW’S BLESSING: Chased hard early, took over the lead and held that until the stretch.

Started to fade in the drive and must be used next out at a price.

TIGER MANIA: Made his way to the lead but could not sustain that bid and tired in the drive. Was

claimed from that race and should be right there next out.

TOOMUCH CHAVEZ: Held to very late in the drive losing by a neck at the wire. Was pressured

the whole way on the lead and can get the job done next out with similar.

WESTERN HUSSY: Was quickly clear for the lead and looked like a winner until deep in the stretch.

Can take it all the way next out.

WORTHY YOU: Was an easy winner last out against $10k claimers and was claimed by

Steve Asmussen; can only get better.

4STARSPECIAL: LEGACY’S SILVER: Showed good speed against straight three year old fillies

and just missed the win to the favorite. Beat the third horse by seven lengths; scores next out.

LONGSHOT: THE GENERAL’S BANK: Ran well to finish an up close fourth and had to break from

an outside post. A better post goes a long way.
