HORSES TO WATCH

TURF PARADISE

CUT OF MUSIC: Came out of the gate running pressing the pace from the start, dropped back a bit before coming on again to finish a good third behind the two favorites, respect.

LEVELLED: Made a good move from fourth to finish a solid second to the odds-on winner, his turn next out.

MAN OF THE HOUSE: Was the only one to make up any ground last out finishing third in a six horse field closing late for the show spot.

MINI ME: Had to be used hard last out from post 8 to make the lead, set some solid splits and was run down late in the drive to finish second; hard hitting mare can take it all the way next out.

SIR WINTONS HEIR: Stalked the leaders from third when shipping in from Emerald Downs last out, took over into the lane but was run down late, tab right back with maidens on the turf.

 

4STARSPECIAL: BUZZ THE TOWER: Made a big move on the turn to take the lead and was well clear into the lane holding off the favorite late for the score. Three year old gelding is continuing to improve and should be followed with any kind on the turf.

LONGSHOT: CANDIQUIK: Raced near the back of the pack early on through slow fractions and then made up good ground to finish a close-up fourth; tab with claimers on the turf.

 

 

LAUREL

ALLEN’S KAT: Showed improved early interest but gave way badly in the lane when sixth in latest disappointment; another shot off claim by trainer Davis.

DANCED ALL NIGHT: Dropped to MCL ranks for first time and responded with blowout victory in her latest; climbs class ladder now.

DOUBLE TOLLGATE: Rallied willingly to pick up third when tried in off-the-turf dash most recently, retaining his sharpness; staying on board.

GOLD CLUSTER: Had been in sharp form but threw in a clinker when fourth of five in his latest; put a line through effort, and give him another shot.

HONEYCOMB GUS: Rated last early in small field, overcame traffic, and blasted clear to live up to odds-on billing as winning favorite in latest; follow off interesting Rice claim.

ONEMOREFASHION: Led and opened stretch lead only to be nailed late when second, beaten a neck, as the failed favorite most recently; atones in a hurry.

SHE’S OUR HERO: Showed improved early and overall interest when a close third in her latest start; experience with winners clearly is only helping matters.

SQUINTZ: Blasted clear early and stayed on gamely for second in his latest; hard to leave off your tickets in current form.

SUNSET ISLAND: Got well in a hurry on drop in class to score in going-away fashion most recently; right back with winners, and son of Albert the Great likely to handle added distance.

TWENTY TWO SMARTES: Showed improved early interest on stretch out to two-turn trip most recently, but fell flat in stretch; conditioning gained helps going forward.

 

4STARSPECIAL:HELLO JERRY: Rallied for second in spite of traffic most recently and can move forward in upcoming third start of current form cycle; brings touch of class.

LONGSHOT: UNBRIDLED DRIVE: Raced down inside then angled out for wide run to pick up third in useful effort making his first start since last-November; all set now.
