HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

COLONIAL DOWNS

AQUILA D’ORO: Seems to be on the improve as a fresh face since moved to turf; gelded son of Diesis has maiden win waiting for him at this meet.

BABY BOOK: Has been second best in each of her last two; veteran mare has knack for bringing back checks and must be included in your exotics in turf sprints.

COMMAND: Rallied from wide and well back to be along in time to post maiden win by a neck when on turf for the first time in his latest; son of Thunder Gulch with upside.

COOL HAND JEFF: Raced wide and well back early from tough post then rallied to pick up third in his latest; keeps moving forward this year, so tab for top prize now.

DANCINN GROOVIN: Has shown big early speed in a pair of quality starts since back from September-layoff; come and catch her on turf dash scene.

DREAMS ABOUND: Showed some late interest to finish a close fifth in a crowded group when moved to turf sprint scene most recently; sharper going forward.

EAGLE CREST: Showed improved early and overall interest when a close fifth in first turf try on June 9; lightly raced 4YO gets overdue maiden score now.

MAGIC MOUNTAIN: Should be able to build upon latest fourth-place finish when tried on turf for the first time in his career; son of Woodman capable of stretching speed a touch.

SHREDDED: Overcame traffic trouble to finish a close second in just his second start off a long layoff most recently; some upside off claim by trainer Grove.

4*SPECIAL: ENDLESS TIME: Managed to show only mild interest for fifth in her latest, but was moved to turf for first time and racing for first time since April; primed now.

LONGSHOT: THUNDER POINT: Returned from freshening and put in a bid wide to contend before fading to fourth in the lane; all set for best shot now.

WOODBINE

BRIGADIER RODNEY: Showed the way early and then weakened in the lane when third in his latest; proves worthwhile $20K-claim for trainer Attard.

GREY MIRAGE: Showed improved early speed, battled on the pace, and was out of gas in the lane when third in his latest; next time.

LAST ANSWER: Improved for third in just his second start since last-December most recently; veteran gelding with plenty of back class is all set for score now.

MOSSBANK: Rallied willingly from wide and way back to pick up a close fifth in juvenile dash debut; speed-bred newcomer is in it from the gun next time.

ODE TO ROY: Posted long overdue maiden score in 12th lifetime start most recently, but learning to win might have been half the battle here; right back.

TENACIOUS BEAR: Fell flat when a distant seventh in his first trip with winners most recently, but experience should prove invaluable as it often does; surprises.

4*SPECIAL: MY LIST: Led early, battled, and weakened to third when push came to shove in the lane most recently; brings touch of class and can crack preliminary allowance class.

LONGSHOT: GEE PARI: Returned from break with a nice effort for third when wide in her latest; ready to fire best stuff yet at 4 this year.
