HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

TAMPA BAY DOWNS

ANJIZ CRYPTO: New face in town flashed speed and weakened to fourth when back off a two-month break most recently; proven veteran can rumble early.

AWESOME ILLUSION: Made it two straight easy scores when back from a break for her latest, and figures to keep the ball rolling locally; filly with zip.

DOWNTOWN VICTORY: Chased and weakened to finish a distant third behind dominant winner in his latest on stretch to route; capable of more.

ROWDY’S A WARRIOR: Rated and rallied, but could only manage an even stretch finish when third as beaten choice in his latest; another shot.

SPANDO: Returned from October-break and showed improvement to live up to favored billing and get overdue maiden tally; likes surface (won, but DQ’d in May), right back.

SPEEDING FEVER: Returned from May-layoff and made turf debut with productive third-place finish; filly has even more to give.

4*SPECIAL: LOVE SNUCKS: Broke last of 12 and as a result raced further back than usual before making a nice rally for fourth in latest; primed now.

LONGSHOT: ROBYN CHIEF: Rallied nicely through trouble to pick up second in his latest; doesn’t win often, so demand value.

AQUEDUCT

BEBOB: Took early money for his career debut, drifted up to 17-1 and then raced evenly to finish fifth behind a good looking prospect, follow back off that effort.

DR. D. F. C.: Trailed the field early on behind slow early fractions, made a good move on the turn to get into contention and then closed well to finish second at 36-1, should be tough with NW1X statebred allowance foes, tab.

FAST AND FURIOUS: Raced at the back of the pack early on through reasonable splits and then made up some ground through the lane to finish fifth at 36-1, stay close at a big price.

HOLIDAZE: Was in a good spot as they approached the top of the stretch but was forced to check in upper stretch costing him a better result, should be tighter next out and must be followed right back for top barn.

LOVE THAT SONG: Raced inside into the lane after racing in fourth early on, made a move up the inside but never had a clear path and finished a close-up fifth, price play with basement claimers.

SONVIDA RED: Stumbled at the start of the race, was bumped after the start, rushed up to challenge the favored wire to wire winner past the half and tired in the lane. A slight drop can lead to a victory at a big price.

SOULSHINE: Was caught in between horses down the backside and was hard held and ran on well through the lane to finish third at 21-1, slight drop gets him there.

UNBREELIEVABLE: Took some money for his career debut, got off to a tangled start, recovered and rushed up to try to get into contention but tired on the turn and finished 11th,

WILD CAT MESA: Shipped in from Philadelphia Park for his last start most recently, made a move on the turn to get into contention but couldn’t go with the leaders checking in fourth, give him another shot.

BEST BET: KINDASORTA: Raced very greenly for her career debut last out and finished an even seventh, should improve dramatically for the McLaughlin barn right back.

LONGSHOT: HIGH ON FREUD: Two year old filly came out of the gate running, chased the pace to the quarter mile pole but then tired badly to finish last of 10, can improve off that effort and the price will be right.
