HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

TURF PARADISE

ANZIYAN FLYER: Was well placed early on racing in fourth, made a big move to get into contention and held on well for the place spot.

GLENGOFFE: Six year old gelding battled on the lead through solid fractions and tired to finish third in the lane, will be very tough if he clears off early on.

SAGE BROOK: Was sent off at 25-1 for her first start versus maiden claimers, chased the pace into the lane and just missed the place spot late, respect.

WARREN’S COLLECTOR: Broke well from the gate, set the pace under pressure and tired in the lane to finish fourth, needs a better pace scenario to score.

WOODY’S DREAM: Was never that far back going two turns last out through solid early splits and stayed on well for the show spot at 24-1, finishing behind the 1-2 favorite.

BEST BET: ACADEMY STAGE: Got away in good order for his career debut, chased the leader into the lane but tired late to finish fourth, well bred three year old should handle the turf also, follow.

LONGSHOT: NETWORKER: Stalked the leaders from midpack most recently, settled in and then came with a big run to finish second at 46-1; follow with $8k claimers.

PENN NATIONAL

COSMOS MARINER: This seven year old still has something left scoring easily over $4k claimers. Has the backclass to call on and can score with better at any distance.

KAZ CITY: Got in fifth, made a middle move to take over the lead past the half but tired in the lane to finish fifth with NW2L $4k claimers, needs a better timed ride.

STORMY EXPRESS: Speedy mare couldn’t make the lead last out, pressed the favorite and still went on to score going away; sharp now.

TRIPPIN ASH: Has tactical speed to call on and her most recent effort in which she finished second after attending the pace right from the start was solid, follow right back.

WILD WANDA: Has raced well here in the past, was sent to Charles Town where she didn’t disgrace herself versus allowance foes, shipped back here and was a good third with NW2L $10k claimers, solid.

BEST BET: EVERBLAZING: Speedy five year old has some backclass to call on, chased the sharp pace early on but had to settle for third behind the two favorites; a stretch back out to six furlongs can do the trick.

LONGSHOT: WALLOPS ISLAND: Well bred four year old has had his moments versus claimers but his most recent off the pace effort with NW3L $4k claimers was solid, follow in a similar spot.
