HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

TAMPA BAY DOWNS

BOBBIE’S THE BEST: Set the pace and weakened in the lane when sixth in her latest, but her early pop must still be respected with cheapies; use.

FOOD FAIRY’S TRIP: Made the pace and drew out to commanding score in her racing debut; might not get 15-1 price next time, but a play nonetheless.

FULL EXERTION: Offered a mild run for third in her latest; mare typically brings back checks and can prove useful $8K-claim for trainer McBride.

KING GLACKEN: Rallied from way back to be up in time for score at square ticket in his latest; one more time.

PAID IN GOLD: Showed improved early interest in his latest, but weakened to fourth in the lane; improves off first try with winners, so follow off claim by trainer Slomkowski (30% last year).

SISTER NAN: Passed tired foes to finish sixth of 12 when turned back in distance for her latest; sharper for next time.

4*SPECIAL: DEAL ME ACES: Returned from two-month break to duel between foes and fade to sixth when it counted; obviously has more to give moving forward.

LONGSHOT: CRYPTO ALI: Made her way to contention and finished even for fourth in her latest; tough outside post didn’t help, and filly can fare better if more involved with pace.

OAKLAWN PARK

AHNAND: Returned from September-layoff, chased the pace, and weakened to finish fifth in his latest; worth following off $5K-claim by trainer Benjamin.

CANALI: Chased the pace and could only manage an even stretch finish when fourth in his most recent start; a bit slow back to his best since return from brief break, expect more now.

DRAMATIC APPEAL: Raced in touch with the pace and could only finish evenly in the lane when fourth in her latest; rate/rally journey off hot pace might be best situation.

KATE’S MAIN MAN: Returned from September-layoff and managed only a fair fifth, but had trained well here leading in to course debut; steps up.

PROUD HONOREE: Has fell flat in recent starts, but is capable of more; class dip could bring about needed turnaround at square price.

SMOLDERING QUEEN: Made the pace and drew off to dominant maiden score as odds-on choice in her latest; expect even more from Asmussen charge moving forward.

STAR OF IDABEL: Raced with the pace, took over, and edged away for win off claim by trainer Bacon in her latest; right back.

TRIPLE IT: Chased the pace and weakened to fourth as the slight favorite for her latest, but is capable of better; dead-send to the front gets the money.

4*SPECIAL: ANGEL SMOKE: Rated just off pace, split rivals, and went clear in lane for nice win in her latest; primed for another jump up in upcoming third start of current form cycle.

LONGSHOT: STORMIN J D: Chased throughout and stayed on for third of 11 in useful debut run; maiden win awaits.
