HORSES TO WATCH
By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB
PHILADELPHIA PARK
BLAMEITONMYYOUTH: Showed improved early and overall interest when third in his latest start and seems to be in better form right now; use with cheapies.
EVENING PALS: Raced well back early and put in bid to gain fourth in his latest when cut back to one mile; sharper for next start.
KNOCK U OUT: Rallied through lane and edged clear for favored maiden score when back from December layoff most recently; climbs class ladder in current form.
LIL BOSS: Made some progress in latest when sixth after breaking 10th of 11 in sprint company; can sneak in exotics at long price.
MISS MCPUNCH: Rallied a bit from wide spot off sluggish break and managed fourth in her latest; benefits from course return in her first start since December.
THAT’S NO PARTY: Raced wide to nowhere in his latest, but could benefit from first start in more than two months; NW2L spot would be best, and switch to turf could be a thought, too.
4*SPECIAL: GILDED SKY: Made her first start since December and went well for a close fifth after putting in middle move from wide spot; dangerous.
LONGSHOT: MAGICAL AMERICAN: Battled early, shook free on pace, and stayed on for second in sharp effort most recently; might handle better off $5K-claim by trainer Delp.
KEENELAND
CALLIE’S JOY: Notched second straight easy score when back from brief break for local return most recently; daughter of Distorted Humor keeps rolling.
FLOWCHECK: Rallied wide from well back to blow away a NW2L group in the lane for nice score; fresh gelding can climb class ladder now.
FLYING DAGGERS: Raced wide and came up lacking when it counted, but managed fourth in her latest when back on short rest; regroups off $7,5K-claim by trainer Wheeler.
PHIL THERICH: Returned from lengthy break, showed speed from wide spot, and understandably retreated to finish fifth; effort proves what the doctor ordered.
POWER AND ACHASE: Showed improved early interest off a soft pace in latest, took over, and drew out for clear score; takes another in current form.
SYBLES ANGEL: Raced outside and with the pace throughout when a game second in her latest; hard to leave off your tickets right now.
THIS WAY HOME: Came up empty when fourth in her latest, but is capable of more; could surprise at nice ticket if she gets the racing luck to set up her late run.
THREAT LEVEL: Battled on pace and weakened in the lane when fourth in her latest, but should only improve upon her first spin with winners; pedigree appeal, too.
WRAPPER: Returned from January-break, stumbled after start, and went well thereafter to manage a close second as beaten choice; makes amends.
4*SPECIAL: VALENTINE AVENUE: Showed some needed and overdue life on stretch out in distance when he set the pace en route to third-place finish; primed now.
LONGSHOT: DOUBLE SHOTGUN: Chased the pace and weakened to fifth in his latest, but show of sharpness was encouraging; primed for third start of current form cycle.
