HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

LONE STAR PARK

BELTON: Made the pace and drew off to commanding score when unveiled by potent Asmussen barn; juvenile colt climbs the class ladder.

CHROMEDOLL: Rallied wide to pick up second in her latest, and was claimed for $4K by Bronstad barn; worth a play back.

FESTIVE RAIN: Rallied from well back and through trouble in off-the-turf race most recently, and picked up close fourth; capable of more.

GOLDEN STATE: Rated early, moved to take up chase, and settled for second behind easy winner in his latest; well-bred colt calls the shots from the bell next time.

MAIL ROUTE: Broke 10th of 12 and never really had an impact when eighth in latest dash; some racing luck could serve gelding well.

RICKLES: Chased in second throughout his latest and seems to have found right company level here; gets elusive score.

WHAT R U THINKING: Broke a bit slow and never really picked it up when sixth in well-bet juvenile dash debut; deserving of at least one more shot.

4*SPECIAL: CALLMEJAC: Broke a bit slow, raced well back and wide, but rallied nicely to score over 11 opponents in nice fashion most recently; right back with winners in reasonable spot.

LONGSHOT: SLICK KITTY: Has struggled on dirt of late, most recently in off-the-turf route; gets back to turf and can offer value if public has forgotten where her talent lies.

CHURCHILL

CRAZY COYOTE: Chased throughout and took the turn into stretch wide and stayed on for close third when asked to try 7F for the first time in his latest; benefits from effort.

LITTLE ROCK: Likely received exercise introduction to racing in debut, and did hit his best stride late en route to fifth-place try; move to route and/or turf suits Toner trainee nicely.

MEDAGLIA D’ONORE: Raced inside and never really got on track when sixth in dash debut; juvenile brings pedigree to improve with experience and at longer trips.

OTTAVIANI: Rated, rallied wide on turn, and managed a close third in his latest; lightly raced 4YO is still a maiden, but one with some upside.

PATHTOTHECROWN: Rallied nicely while wide to post maiden score off lengthy break most recently; 3YO daughter of Giant’s Causeway is capable of climbing class ladder.

SERENITY LAKE: Was bumped at the break and never really got in gear when seventh in her latest, but wasn’t beaten all that badly; deserves another shot to show her true stuff.

SKY MISSION: Rallied outside and managed third of 12 in maiden debut most recently; son of Sky Mesa eligible to improve and advance next time for Ward barn.

SWINGIT: Has been flat in a pair of starts since back from brief break, but classy filly figures to get back on track before long; note, she is a stakes winner at Churchill Downs.

TIGON: Showed the way on the pace, only to be nailed on the wire, and settled for second in her latest; game effort deems her one to follow off $10K-claim by trainer Foley.

4*SPECIAL: ITALIAN GIRL: Rallied through traffic and picked up a close fourth in first local try by way of California most recently; breakout effort comes in upcoming third start of current form cycle.

LONGSHOT: EXOTIC BLOOM: Led early, took up chase thereafter, and faded from contention when seventh in her return from August-layoff; noteworthy, Prado took mount on 15-1 shot, so expect lightly raced filly to improve.
