HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

TURFWAY PARK

ANAGUSKA: Rallied to be along for second when no match for winner in her first start since winning debut; juvenile filly can continue to progress for Romans barn.

BLUE CHEESE: Took some tote play for first local try, but never got on track when outside and a flat seventh; experience here does count, so give a shot to turnaround form.

BRETT THE JET: Didn’t have smoothest debut journey (“Shuffled back, 6 wide”), but managed some late interest for fifth; learns and improves quickly.

HAYLEY GO BLUE: Raced near pace, took over, and blew things open for easy score over 11 foes in her latest; keeps sharp form and steps up.

LATE HIT: Showed marked improvement when third on class drop via CD when making first local start most recently; seems logical maiden graduate with similar next time.

MY FRIEND KEN: Rallied from way back following slow break to be up in time for MCL score; right back with solid effort in reasonable spot.

NOLAN’S TERRITORY: Bounced back with good effort to finish second off middle move to lead in his latest; stays sharp and cracks NW3L scene next time.

NUCLEAR MELTDOWN: Showed some interest on class drop in latest when able to put in bold middle move on outside, but was a bit flat late for third; next time.

THAT’S MY CROWN: Showed good early interest from wide post when able to manage second in sprint return from brief break most recently; stay on board now.

4*SPECIAL: TRIBAL SURGE: Chased the pace from the outside and weakened to finish fourth in course return on class drop; shakes free next time with similar lot.

LONGSHOT: KEY WORD: Raced well back early but showed some late gain to finish in midpack most recently; has raced well here before, and can jump up for maiden score.

FAIR GROUNDS

BAD BOY AIDAN: Raced outside near the pace, took over, and drew out to lengthy score over 10 foes most recently; keeps form in upcoming third start of current form cycle.

CAPE SEATTLE: Waited for room and then finished a bit flat when an acceptable sixth off a slow break in his racing debut; jumps up quickly for strong Asmussen barn.

COOL HERO: Showed typical early speed and battled in his latest when he stayed on gamely for third; brings solid overall mark, always on our tickets.

DESTINY BOUND: Gained through stretch to pick up third in very useful turf sprint debut run over yielding ground; stay with juvenile daughter of With Approval.

DOWN THE ROAD: Battled with pace and stayed on fairly well for fourth in off-the-turf sprint debut; La-bred son of Indian Charlie brought $130K as yearling, so stay close.

SKEPTIC: Finished a game second when with the pace throughout his latest on turn back to sprint trip; sharper for experience likely to pay dividends next time.

4*SPECIAL: PRECIOUS KISS: Rallied from downtown to draw off for easy score in her first start since late-October; filly with some class figures to build upon performance.

LONGSHOT: HISSE: Offered only a mild finish when a distant fourth in her latest, but now has a pair of starts under her saddle since return from June-break; primed for breakout.
