Mutuel Field and Old Fashioned co-favored in second Derby Future Wager

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Top rated three-year-old Old Fashioned and the mutuel field have both been slated at 8-1 in the morning-line for this year's second Kentucky Derby Future Wager.

Wagering commences Thursday at 12 p.m. (et) and continues through Sunday until 6 p.m. (et). For the first time since the Derby Future bet began in 1999, exacta wagering will be available.

The mutuel field, which includes all three-year-olds not listed in the pool, finished as the 9-5 favorite when betting finished for the first Future Wager. Old Fashioned, who will start in Saturday's Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park, was 7-1 last month after winning the Southwest Stakes.

Robert B. Lewis Stakes champ Pioneerof the Nile and Sham Stakes winner The Pamplemousse are both listed at 10-1. Friesan Fire, a stablemate of Old Fashioned, is 12-1 along with Dunkirk and Quality Road.

The third and final pool will be conducted April 2-5.
