HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

DELAWARE PARK

BIANCO: Raced in range of pace, and simply grinded down rival to be best by a nose in game try most recently; right back for winning Autrey barn.

DANCE PRO: Put in a bid but came up lacking when he needed more late and settled for third most recently; can step forward in upcoming third start since November for winning Lake barn.

DISGUISE: Showed improved early interest and stayed on for third when in from GP for his latest; dangerous with similar crew for powerhouse Pletcher barn next time.

GALLANT GULCH: Tried to rally from close range, caught traffic late, and settled for narrowly beaten fourth in tight finish most recently; handles similar cast next time.

RIVER FANCY: Made it two straight easy tallies, most recently in her first spin off claim by winning Trombetta barn; daughter of Congaree keeps rolling.

VAYA CON DIOS: Showed some early foot and stopped to finish well back and last of eight in his first start since last-June; note, barn showed confidence in placement, and can be aggressive with follow-up.

4*SPECIAL: SHUGA DADDY: Blasted free on pace and simply failed to last in lane when third in latest; initial experience with winners only helps the cause for next time, so stay on board.

LONGSHOT: WHAT A SMILE: Chased the pace and gave out when a disappointment in her course return most recently; better than effort suggests, she must be given chance to bounce back for trainer Ritchey.

LONE STAR PARK

BORDER CUVEE: Rallied from just off the pace with wake-up second in his latest; can stay in range, make a run, and now keep sharp form for winning Asmussen barn.

DANCE TIL SIX: Overcame trouble to rally for fourth of 12 on move back to turf in her return from brief freshening; plenty of upside with daughter of Deputy Wild Cat who is also past due for maiden score.

DIXIE MOUNTAIN: Raced under pressure with pace in one-mile debut and stayed on well under circumstances to finish second best to four-length winner; his turn next time.

FR. DENIS: Chased throughout and stayed on in acceptable order to finish third in his latest; respect tactical speed and overall ability with lower-end claiming types.

PETE’S PRIDE: Raced just off the pace, made lead in stretch, and stayed gamely to finish third in blanket finish; like this gelding in turf dashes.

SYMBOLOGY: Led throughout and kept sharp form since arriving on local scene two starts back; takes next logical step up the class ladder for strong Calhoun outfit.

4*SPECIAL: PILI PALA: Moved back to turf for latest and set the pace and weakened late to finish fourth; might fire best yet in upcoming third start of form cycle, and thus far only poor try came on muddy ground.

LONGSHOT: STONE SOBER: Has shown improved early interest and overall ability over the course of his last couple of starts; latest marked first try with winners, and he can build on fourth-place try in which he raced wide on both turns.
