HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

BELMONT

BILL PLACE: Had no shot the way the track was playing last out so he had to settle for an up the track finish, a drop in class and a more even track can key a large mutuel.

BOBS PINUP GIRL: Has been a horse that would just race evenly against moderate competition but moved up big time when switched to the turf with a solid run through the lane to score going away, follow right back over the turf, even with better.

BOLD VINDICATION: Ran on well for second last out despite having some trouble with the soft turf course, give him another shot over a firm turf.

CHROMOSPERE: Never really did much running last out in his career debut over the dirt but got the needed experience and will be tough with a move to the turf.

HALF A NOTE: Is at his best when he can make one run when sprinting but had some traffic trouble last out en route to a third place finish, tough with the right set-up.

JOE BRAVO: Was still prominent into the top of the lane but faded when it counted when making his first start since March, should improve off that effort.

LUNA CHARM: Got the right trip last out over the dirt and got her maiden win in just her second start, however, she might be better on the turf and should be given her first try with winners over that surface.

MARL: Was too far back last out racing in ninth behind moderate splits but was gaining ground through the lane in his first try versus winners, be there.

PLATINUM COUPLE: Was outrun behind some very quick splits but he was the only one closing through the lane to finish second to a runaway winning frontrunner; tab this 6yo with similar.

BEST BET: BROWN’S HILL: Closed some ground in the lane to finish third behind the top two choices over a track that favored speed, was claimed out of that race and should be ready to roll first start off that claim.

LONGSHOT: DEBBIE’S FAST GIRL: Ran a better race than it looks last out as she raced well behind some extremely slow fractions and she was the only one to make up any ground through the lane to finish third at 18-1, follow at a price.

MONMOUTH PARK

GO LUV: Pressed the leader early through a quick half mile in 45 flat, took over from the rival into the lane and never looked back scoring by more than five lengths in her debut, ready for winners.

LADY KAFCA: Is clearly better on the turf but she stayed in the race last out despite it being taken off the turf and finished a well beaten fourth, should gain some conditioning from that race and follow this one back on the lawn.

MIDNIGHT MILE: Hard hitting 6yo mare has some backclass to call on and crushed a field of $5k claimers when dropped to the basement level, ready for a move back up the claiming ladder.

NOISY FEET: Returned from a September layoff last out and never looked back dominating a field of six in front running fashion, this filly may have a future.

TRUTH RULES: Loves this track and suffered his first loss here on 6/17 but he never looked comfortable throughout the race and should be given another shot at a better price.

UNCLE HESHIE: Has shown a ton of improvement since they added lasix and he has put up two second place finishers, ready to graduate with maiden $10k claimers.

BEST BET: INTI: His first two starts on the turf were not that bad and he seems to be improving with each start over that surface, follow this McLaughlin trainee to the windows.

LONGSHOT: POLISHED PRINCESS: Has some early foot but has been in over her head in the last few and would need a drop back into claimers, follow, the price will be right.
