HORSES TO WATCH

By: ATC

TURFWAY PARK

ALEDO PASS: Stalked the pace while racing in third and then took over to score and easy victory. Should

handle better next out.

BILL HEINZ: Set some solid fractions last out against maiden claiming two year olds and finished a solid third. Look for

him to take it all the way on the lead.

COLORFUL SAINT: Was dead last throughout and then put in a solid late run to finish an even fourth. Gets there with

some pace up front.

FERRIDAY: Was up close to a quick pace and held fairly well in the drive and finished fifth at 50-1. The price is right so

stay on board.

HOTTIE: Scored a wire to wire victory over maiden $30k claimers and must be followed right back if properly placed versus

winners.

JIMMY CRACKED CORN: Battled head to head for the lead from the 10 post and hung in well to finish fourth. May prove

tough to catch if he can make it to the lead.

JOSEPH G’S GAL: Never seems to win but is always around; use this one in all exotics.

MALACHITE: Was involved in a hot pace and still hung around to finish fourth. Offers value right back with $8k claimers.

QUICK TEMPER: Improved in her second career start and got the victory by almost two lengths. Well bred 2YO is one to watch

right back.

SHE’S ENOUGH: Chased the pace from the outside post position and held fairly well until late in the drive. Can get the job done

if he can clear to the field.

TOTAL LIMIT: Speedster will prove tough to catch against similar next out.

WINTER HARBOR: Made a middle move to the lead and held that advantage until mid-stretch before fading to third. Gets there

with conditioned claimers.

4STARSPECIAL: STRODES COMMANDER: Has some backclass and some speed and was claimed out of his last race

by top barn. Should move up quickly for new connections.

LONGSHOT: HOCKEY JOCK: Was outrun to the stretch but then put in a solid late run while racing wide throughout and

finished an even fourth at 90-1. Try right back at a solid mutuel.

SAM HOUSTON

ALII KAT AL: Led throughout maiden claiming win, easily holding odds-on favorite safe through the stretch

run; tab Perez trainee if returned in reasonable spot.

BLUE EYED BUCK: Dueled early and stopped to finish last of nine as the favorite in latest; can turn things around

following claim by trainer Powers.

DELLAMONTE: Led early, then battled with and gave way to odds-on winner when second best in latest; her turn

next time.

HE TOLD COE: Chased three wide and faded to finish fifth when well supported on tote for latest; clear early shake and/or class

drop can do the trick.

JUSTA SMIRK: Picked up the pieces for third in claiming sprint; shows late energy and offers value, so keep in exotic

wagers.

LISSA’S LAD: Gained for third in latest, but was well beaten at odds-on price; note, he did break in the air and circled

field when making his bid.

RARE GLORIOUS: Chased favorite who went on to six-length win when an otherwise close fourth in latest race at 17-1

price; a must use in gimmicks.

RUNNIN POLLOCK: Chased the pace and weakened in claiming sprint; deserving of another chance for trainer

Northrop Jr.

WINNING SHOWS: Gained to finish a nose to the good as an odds-on winner in latest; follow off the claim by trainer Konoly.

4STARSPECIAL: MISSING TAB: Gained third behind odds-on entrymates that got away on soft pace in Nov. 22

claiming route; sharp now.

LONGSHOT: EBONY POST: Battled with pace and gamely stayed on for fourth, missing second by a pair of necks; Konkoly trainee

brings some upside to table.
