Severe thunderstorms threaten Kentucky Derby


Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - The weather forecast for Saturday's Kentucky Derby has change dramatically over the last 24 hours. Severe thunderstorms are expected Saturday with possible flooding and an outbreak of tornados.

There will be a significant change from Friday's forecast which calls for sunny skies and a high of 85. Heavy thunderstorms will roll in Friday night into Saturday. There is an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday with a high of 75.

Lightning will also be a concern on Saturday and two to four inches of rain is expected and more than five inches possible in some areas.
