Super Saver and Zenyatta remain atop NTRA Polls

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver and undefeated mare Zenyatta kept their respective first-place positions in the latest NTRA Thoroughbred Polls.

Owned by WinStar Farm, Super Saver received 17 of 18 first-place votes and 179 points in the NTRA Three-year-old Poll for the week ending May 9.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, the colt had a workout Monday morning at Churchill Downs in preparation for Saturday's 135th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. He is scheduled to arrive at Pimlico on Wednesday.

Derby runner-up Ice Box holds on to second with 158 points while Paddy O'Prado, third in the Derby, jumped from fifth to third with 105 points. Ice Box will not run in the Preakness while Paddy O'Prado is a candidate.

Kentucky Derby favorite Lookin At Lucky, who is expected to start Saturday, drops from third to fourth in the poll with 100 points.

Blind Luck, winner of the Kentucky Oaks moves from sixth to fifth with 91 points.

Eskendereya, who was retired over the weekend, fell from fourth to sixth. The Wood Memorial champ received one first-place vote and 78 points.

Noble's Promise stays in seventh followed by Sidney's Candy. Oaks runner-up Evening Jewel jumps into ninth over Make Music for Me who completes the top 10.

The first eight spots in the NTRA National Poll remain unchanged. Zenyatta received 15 of 18 first-place votes and 176 points.

Quality Road is second with the three remaining first-place votes and 160 points.

Super Saver is third followed by Misremembered, Blind Luck, Rachel Alexandra, Unrivaled Belle and General Quarters.

Coming in at ninth is Rail Trip off his win Saturday in the Mervyn LeRoy Handicap at Hollywood Park. Ice Box completes the top 10.
