HORSES TO WATCH

LOUISIANA DOWNS
CONDOBOUND: Tried starter allowance company off $5K-claim by trainer Adams and managed third; was turning back to sprint trip, and figures to stay sharp now.
GENTLEMAN DAN: Hit some turn traffic and put in fair bid for third in his latest; worth following off $5K-claim by trainer McNair.
GINORMUS: Rallied through traffic and up the inside to finish a close third in his latest, and seems to have improved of late coinciding with switch to turf a couple of starts back; stay with him.
GRAND DOLLY: Got overdue maiden win in 10th lifetime start, but did it in a big way over nine rivals as the choice; right back with winners in reasonable spot.
MISS JOE KING: Settled for second behind blowout winner when back from brief respite most recently; diploma run appears likely hers for the taking next time.
4*SPECIAL: FETCH YOU BACK: Didn’t offer much when fourth in sloppy off-the-turf bid, but draw a line through race; turf win in prior start off the bench pointed to her as one to follow.
LONGSHOT: NANA KNOWS: Moved to contend and faded late when third in most recent off-the-turf bid; has caught slop in each of her last two, and might prefer fast dirt or firm grass.
DELAWARE PARK
C J’S PRIZE: Chased the pace and gave out after a half-mile to finish a well-beaten seventh in her latest; has more to give and can fare better if able to shake free early.
CAMP TEMPTATION: Made her way to the pace and extended her advantage with ease to demolish four overmatched maidens in her latest; right back with winners in reasonable spot.
CATCH A CAT THIEF: Stalked the pace from a distance, took over and shook clear in the lane, and came up second best most recently; next time in similar NW2L spot.
PIRATE KING: Tried to gain from last of four in most recent dash, but could only manage close third; 9YO gelding had won prior two starts, is keeping good form, and must be used.
ROCK LOBSTER: Put in a mild bid along the rail to finish a close fifth when back on turf for his latest; eight-time winner has shown subtle signs of rounding back to form.
SMART TORI: Gained from just off the pace to finish a good second in her latest, and appears headed the right way since back on turf for last couple; back in win column before long.
TRUE RAISE: Honest sort battled early and weakened to finish fourth as the beaten choice in his latest; another shot for winning Mike Pino barn (27% this year).
4*SPECIAL: DUBINSKY: Returned from one-month break/claim by trainer Caraman and managed fair third on class rise behind blowout winner; moves forward.
LONGSHOT: INTHETHICKOFIT: Showed more speed than usual, shook free on stretch lead, and weakened late to finish fourth in his latest race; gets another chance in similar spot at a price.
