Top 10 holds steady through Labor Day racing

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Champion mare Zenyatta continues at the top of this week's NTRA National Thoroughbred Poll. There were no changes or additions to the top 10 for the first time this year.

Zenyatta, 2008 and 2009 champion older female, again received 14 first-place votes and a total of 155 points. Trained by John Shirreffs, the champion will start in the Lady's Secret Stakes at Hollywood Park on Saturday, October 2.

Four-year-old colt Blame is second with two first-place votes and 136 points. He will make his next start on October 2 in Belmont Park's Jockey Club Gold Cup.

Quality Road, coming off Saturday's Woodward win, is third with 121 points and will train up to the Breeders' Cup Classic in November.

Rounding out the top 10 are Lookin At Lucky (106), Blind Luck (900, Paddy O'Prado (40), Rachel Alexandra (37), Gio Ponti (26), Proviso (24) and Richard's Kid (23).
