No changes in NTRA Poll

By: SPORTS NETWORK

New York, NY (Sports Network) - For the second consecutive week there is no change in the order of the top 10 of the NTRA National Thoroughbred Poll. This is the next to last poll before the running of the 27th Breeders' Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs on November 5 and 6.

Undefeated mare Zenyatta is again a unanimous choice, receiving all 18 first- place votes. Her 180 points are 32 more than second-place holder Lookin At Lucky's 148.

Owned by Jerry and Ann Moss and trained by John Shirreffs, Zenyatta will defend her title in the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic on November 6. Lookin At Lucky will be among those who will challenge the six-year-old.

Completing the top 10 are Quality Road (126 points), Blame (123), Proviso (79), Gio Ponti (77), Blind Luck (66), Richard's Kid (40), Haynesfield (36) and Goldikova (27).

Only Richard's Kid, two-time Pacific Classic champ, will not start in any of the Breeders' Cup races. He has been sent back to Dubai.

The final poll will come out the Monday following the Breeders' Crown World Championships on November 5 and 6.
