Now the first question you've got to be asking is: How come those prices are so high? What's going on?
What's going on is the Hidden Form Trainer Angle.

Years ago I had discovered that in certain races,  trainers"shoot for a purse" while making sure they don't lose their horse to a claim.  - i.e.,  they slip  the horse into  a race in such a way as to make sure the crowd thinks the horse is"just another claimer." And if they make all the right moves, this horse, that's in-form and ought  to go off at 1-2, instead goes off at  7-1 and the barn has a terrific payday at the windows.
